Stars: Bruce Willis, Alan Rickman
Director: John McTiernan
MPAA Rating: R
There are films that are watershed moments for their genres, that forever alter the expectations for their successors. Star Wars set the bar for space opera, for instance, and Stagecoach defined the language of westerns in a way that would not significantly change until the rise of the spaghetti western in the 1960s. For action movies, the watershed moment came in 1988 with the release of Die Hard.
The story of Die Hard is that of a hostage situation in a Los Angeles Skyscraper. Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) has a meticulously developed plan that seems airtight, except for the unexpected presence of a resourceful and stubborn New York cop, John McClane (Bruce Willis), who is there in an attempt to reconcile with his estranged wife at her companys Christmas party. Hans has to execute his plan while dealing with the outnumbered and outgunned McClane, who desperately works to stay alive while stopping Hans and rescuing his wife. Its a fairly simple premise, and certainly one that has probably had more innovative approaches, but rarely more meticulously executed. There is not a wasted scene in the film, a forgotten idea, or a dangling plot thread. Still, even the most meticulous execution would fail without the compelling dynamic between the three most important characters: McClane, Gruber, and the Nakatomi Building itself.
Thats right, the actual setting is so developed and detailed that it, in and of itself, plays as important a role in the film as the hero and villain. Production Designer Jackson DeGovia outdoes himself with the detail on the Nakatomi building, from the reproduction of Frank Lloyd Wrights Fallingwater in the main lobby to the elaborately detailed Japanese-inspired conference room to even the areas still under construction that play a vital role in some of the films key action scenes. The first scenes of the movie are largely devoted to introducing McClane, but at the same time they are giving us an idea of the Nakatomi Building and how it fits together, and we dont even realize it until the action kicks into gear. Even then, its subconscious; the set design feels so natural that its importance goes largely unnoticed.
With a setting so full of personality, the two main characters, Hans and McClane, need to have presence and the script and actors work perfectly to provide this. Alan Rickmans performance as Hans is fantastic, perfectly toeing the line between theatrical and ham-fisted. He projects an air of menace and refinement, and you get the sense that he does this more because he finds it fun and challenging. The theatrical flourishes Rickman provides feel like a part of the character, instead of like the posturing of a comic book villain.
Hans also provides a perfect foil to McClane. Where Hans has planned out everything to the last detail, McClane is constantly struggling to figure out how to get out of his most recent situation. Where Hans is theatrical and ruthless, McClane is subdued and heroic. These characteristics, particularly with the contrast provided by Hans, make McClane the archetype for action heroes that all others have to follow: hes just a guy trying to do his best in a bad situation. Bruce Willis is just the man for the role, a guy who is tough and handsome, but not too tough and handsome to be real. His performance evokes McClanes desperation even when hes delivering your typical action movie bravado, and the effect makes him much more human than your regular action star. He even gets hurt, and stays hurt like a human being would, to the point where its not entirely certain hell survive the films conclusion.
Of course, Die Hard has been around for years now, so most everybody has seen it. However, behind the explosions, shootouts, fistfights, and explosions there lies a movie that is crafted to near perfection and worth multiple viewings. Even if you arent an action movie fan, its worth seeing just for the sheer attention to detail and delicate construction of the plot and characters.
Also, its technically a Christmas movie, so you might be able to argue for watching it in lieu of A Christmas Story or Its a Wonderful Life. Thats what I do.

Watch Sound It Out movie Online Free
Jeanie Finlay’s affectionate film would have benefited from an infusion of Jack Black. There are energy junkies and boppers amongst the clientele, loners with tattoos, old blokes who buy Meat Loaf and suicidal teenagers (“Who are you?” “General delinquents”) with a pash for heavy metal, but the atmosphere in the store is sensitive to eccentricity and doesn’t make waves.
There is nothing particularly special about the shop, other than it is run by someone who loves his job and is good at it. What holds your attention are the people. Excepting one-off dabblers, looking for pre-Ziggy Stardust, or trying to flog stolen goods, these habitues are serious collectors. They live in bare rooms with a chair and a record player and stacks of albums. Their fingers play air guitar, their faces locked into a twisted mask. You get the feeling that their social lives are limited to Sound It Out and their rooms.
Beyond the wierdness of having a music deck and disco in your mum’s shed is the sense of loss, connected to the North East, shops closing, the High Street for sale, empty boulevards like the pale ghosts of industrial decay and because of it, perhaps, a closeness that comes with shared deprivation. Unlike the Home Counties, where dress codes are manditary, Stockton, as portrayed by those who frequent Sound It Out, is uncritical of sartorial misrule.
It is too easy to dismiss vinyl junkies as saddos. “It’s all about emotions and memories,” says the shop’s owner. “If it wasn’t for music, I wouldn’t be here,” says the chubby-faced teenager with the torn jeans who has tried to top himself twice already. You can melt records down and mould them into the shape of a coffin. Shane, who spent his childhood being called a spazza and now talks with authority about the medication he needs to retain his job as a shelf stacker, is planning on doing that.
Ninety-nine per cent of Sound It Out’s customers are guys. “They don’t want to grow up.” What’s so clever about the chattering classes anyway, when you’ve got this?Everything that “In and Out” has to say about masculine behavior is encapsulated in a single dance scene with Kevin Kline, a scene in which Mr. Kline is pure bliss. There he is, dressed like Paul Bunyan and almost alone, except for a surreally meddlesome instructional tape that is trying to teach him what real men — Paul Bunyan men — do.
That subject has become a sore one for Howard Brackett, the high school teacher whom Mr. Kline plays with athletic poise and supreme comedic elegance, because his students, boss, mother and fiancee all think he’s gay. They think this because they have heard it, as have a billion or so others, on the Academy Awards show. As a character who started out as the real Tom Hanks of “Philadelphia” and is now a nice-guy Brad Pitt, Matt Dillon plays the Oscar winner who unwittingly yanks his favorite teacher out of the closet.
“In and Out,” which is not a film to wonder how the star learned his teacher’s secret or to associate gayness with actual , then offers Howard this inspired way to act out his confusion. “Stand straight and tall!” orders the tape, and Howard tries. “Excuse me, are we a little teapot?” the tape asks, when Howard accidentally crooks one hand on his hip.
“Repeat after me,” the tape continues: “Yo! Hot damn! What a fabulous window treatment! That was a trick!” And then, having battled with himself even more furiously than Jim Carrey did in “Liar Liar,” Howard can fight no more. He tears off the plaid flannel, strips down to a tight black T-shirt and lets himself go wild to a disco beat.

This delirious sequence comes midway through a frequently funny but surprisingly strait-laced comedy, one that too often imagines as a taste for bow ties and a reverence for a certain movie queen. (Howard’s idea of fighting words: “She was too old for ‘Yentl!’ “) Even as written by the dependably hilarious Paul Rudnick, it has more than its share of mail-order Hollywood moments. Mr. Rudnick, writing as his alter ego Libby Gelman-Waxner in Premiere, would undoubtedly kvetch about the kind of finale that has everyone in the school auditorium (or restaurant, bathroom or bus) chiming in to comment on the main characters’ lives.

Watch REJOICE AND SHOUT online free live Streaming
A documentary that traces the evolution of Gospel through its many musical styles the spirituals and early hymns, the four-part harmony-based quartets, the integration of blues and swing into Gospel, the emergence of Soul, and the blending of Rap and Hip Hop elements.
Rejoice and Shout traces the evolution of Gospel through its many musical styles – the spirituals and early hymns, the four-part harmony-based quartets, the integration of blues and swing into Gospel, the emergence of Soul, and the blending of Rap and Hip Hop elements. Gospel music also walked in step with the story of African-American culture – slavery, hardscrabble rural existence and plantation work, the exodus to major cities, the Depression, World War II, civil rights and empowerment. Rejoice and Shout connects the history of African-American culture with Gospel as it first impacted popular culture at large. Years in the making, Rejoice and Shout captures so much of what is special about this music and African-American Christianity – the sermonizing, the heartfelt testimonials, getting slain in the spirit, the hard hollering, and of course the inspiring music.
Throughout the uplifting gospel documentary film Rejoice and Shout, something baffling occurred. Instead of letting decades old gospel performances that most of the audience has never seen be captivating in their own right, the editor or director decided the film needs double, or sometimes triple boxes, just to make things visually interesting. This second image was blurry and distracting.
Speaking of blurry, a good portion of this movie not involving sit down interviews is out of focus. The b-roll of this film, consisting primarily of stock footage, old photographs, and album covers, looks like it was put together in a few days by someone whos just learning Final Cut Pro, downloaded most of the videos off of Youtube, and then forgot to render the whole thing.
This is a shame, too. For I have very ambivalent feelings toward Rejoice and Shout. Tracing the history of gospel music from slavery to modern times with great insight and even better tunes. The Interviews with historians and legends of Gospel music, including Smokey Robinson, go a long way to providing anecdotal insight into the hearts and minds of decades old gospel artists were watching and listening too on screen.
Im having a hard time recommending the flick, however. As a movie goer, I dont think this movie was made any greater, or more grand, by being on the big screen, especially considering half the screen is black, and the audio is tinny during the performances because the editor is a crazy person and the footage is old.
But the fact remains if Rejoice and Shout is on your radar, youre a gospel fan, a gospel singer, or want to be. If so, you should see this movie as soon as possible. It has some truly great performances, and the many technical failings are easily overcome by fandom. Rejoice and Shout is a celebration of the music that is a celebration of God, community, faith. And that alone, is worth the Price of Admission
Until now, the only other movie about gospel music was the very fine 1982 Say Amen, Somebody, a profile of Thomas A. Dorsey who is widely regarded as the father of gospel music, that can be rented from Netflix. The two films complement each other nicely. Rejoice and Shout is much more of an attempt to provide a scholarly framework for the genres evolution drawing upon interviews from experts in the field, both Black and white.
Anabolic steroids and Hollywood movie stars is there a connection there
We all know Arnold used Dianabol the breakfast of champions, we all know Sylvester Stalone got stopped by Australian customs with truckload of HGH human growth hormone.
But, with awesome transformations being made within weeks one can not help but wonder. What the hell are those moovie stars using.
Christian Bale, Brad Pitt, Harvey Keitell, Will Smith, Mark Wahlberg, Hugh Jackman, 50 Cent, Edward Norton, Chris Hemsworth,Matt Damon, heck even guys like Zac Effron and Justin Timberlake got semi buffed lately.
We all know Woody Allen, Adam Sandler, Al Pacino are steroid free and Jack Black too probably, though he might just be using them the wrong way, lots of anadrol and no exercise.
Today? Today’s actors are really more ripped than buffed. They look more fit than dangerous. It’s kind of like comparing a big Mack Truck to a slick SUV. Sure the SUV is goodlooking but the Mack Truck is badass. And that’s what lacks modern movie stars they are a kind of “gurly”. In fact all these guys are is ripped, put them in clothes and they all look tiny. Most say they only use winstrol or anavar.
We do have Michael Clark Duncan, can someone get him an action part please?

Downloading Torrents Pros and Cons
There are many ways of watching movies, and one of the common ways other than watching the movie in the theatres is to download movies. Many people opt for this method of watching full movies online for a number of reasons. First of all, the movies have better quality than online streaming, and in fact, if you manage to find a good one, you can get one with DVD quality. Furthermore, you do not experience lags or freezes in movies due to streaming. You can also watch the movies over and over again because you are keeping the file in your computer.
Unfortunately, downloading torrents have its disadvantages as well. To start off, for the fact that you are copying a file onto your computer means you will be using up some hard disk space. Movie files tend to be very huge, especially those with better quality, and will take a very long time to download. This brings us to another point which is the inability to watch the movie on the demand. Unlike streaming where you get to watch the movie right away, downloading can take between hours to days, depending on your Internet speed and file size. Apart from that, some torrent files carry viruses, so when you open the file, it can become a costly affair for your computer. Even if you do not happen to get one with virus, there is also the chance of downloading a poor quality movie file, such as one that is recorded in the cinema. For those who download movies for free from illegal websites, there is also a chance of getting slapped with hefty fines if you get caught. Indeed, downloading full movies online can be rather risky.
Of course, one could avoid getting into such situations by taking the safer path, which is to watch movies from paid websites. It is true that you will need to spend some cash, but the access to good quality movies is unlimited, and you will not have to worry about coming across any viruses. This is because legal, paid websites always check their files and make sure they are free of viruses before releasing them for downloads. Plus, you can choose to stream the movies instead so you do not need to use your hard disk space, yet you can still enjoy good quality movies. Thus, you should always check out which websites are legal to avoid encountering any problems along the way.
Watch The Woman Movie 2011 Free Online
The film we are about to review is called, The Woman. It’s apparently a loose sequel to another film called The Offspring. Now since I hadn’t seen The Offspring I had no real clue what this one was going to be like until I just shut up and watched it and now I can say it wasn’t that bad..Not bad at all actually. I’m pretty sure any man hating feminist out there would get a giant kick out of it to be exact. Since all men are evil and we enslave women and all that jazz ya know? That being said I must still admit that I wanted to see the males in this film die in the worst way possible..So, great job!!
When a successful country lawyer named, Chris, captures and attempts to “civilize” the last remaining member of a violent clan that has roamed the Northeast coast for decades, he puts the lives of his family in jeopardy. Now you might ask yourself why someone would find a wild woman in the woods and want to keep her. I asked myself this same question as well. Clearly no sane or normal person would want to do such a thing. But as this movie goes from start to finish we seem to notice that Chris and his family aren’t really what most of us would call “normal”.
A movie like this one is a little complex to break down. On one hand you have people doing things that you wouldn’t normally see people do in certain situations. Things just lack real logic. Like for one, how could a jungle woman live in the jungle that long without being noticed? And why would someone who spots her in the woods want to go through the trouble of capturing her and keeping her as a pet of sorts? Well the part about her being in the woods and not being noticed is something we never really clear up. Perhaps I should see The Offspring for that answer? But the other part there becomes fairly obvious as the movie rolls along.
Looking passed that however, we have a film with one of the more interested and unique story lines we’ve seen in some time. Not only is the story very different and somewhat compelling at times. The actors in this thing work great, for he most part, to make everything just seem to flow and work well. Now I must call attention to the teacher of one of Chris’ children in the film. Her line delivery and acting just seemed somewhat off in this. But would you hold it against me if I also said that she was just soo darn cute and likeable anyway that you just don’t care too much? I’m sorry if that’s or makes me sound like a jerk but it’s true. On the other end of that issue, credit MUST be given to Sean Bridgers who plays “Chris” and Zach Rand who plays his son “Brian”. They are very VERY hate-able in this movie and that’s just what they need to be.
As our film unfolds upon our viewing, The Woman, in the film The Woman, played outstandingly by Pollyanna McIntosh who’s soo pretty I’m sure it was hard to make her look savage, just steals the whole thing. She’s never made out to be a bad person, just a survivor taken from her natural habitat. And once the film reaches it’s end you’ll be rooting for her to get her revenge on anyone who might have wronged her in the film. It’s really a lot of fun to see. And to top it off, the whole movie packs a few twists, turns, and surprises to keep things interesting. If you get the chance to see, The Woman, I think you should take it. It’s a pretty cool flick. Watch The Woman Movie Online
I liked it pretty well. I do kinda wish it got a little bloodier there towards the end, but I think it was just fine for what it was. Not sure it makes me want to backtrack and watch The Offspring anytime soon, but I think you’ll get by just fine having not seen it when it comes to seeing, The Woman. Let this be a big moral lesson to you all that you should never try to capture women you find in the woods.

The Woman is a harrowing and often darkly hilarious horror satire about family values, feminism, and the nature of violence from the twisted minds of Lucky McKee and Jack Ketchum. A true find at Sundance for all fans who love gore and the twisting of Americana.

Do Movies Convey Messages
Our whole world is run on the base of messages that one person convey to other and then that other person convey to another person so same as it is the circle is start, u think how I said that the whole world is run on messages this is true and I prove this to you. The simple definition of message is if one person said something to other its mean that he conveys some information to other and we know that in a message we write some type of information which is helpful to others so it is prove that every conversation which is held between persons to persons is known as messages. Everything in this world is give us information message like books gives us such messages which we never hear before, dramas also gives us a message and many more things, same the movies are also conveys messages which are based on the genre of a movie because it contains such story which is unique in all the stories.
